Not in the overall condition census for the variety but finest of the VEDS in the Grellman census.

LOT 724 1856 N-4 R3 Italic 5 MS60+. Lustrous light brown with delicate overtones of light bluish steel. A few peeps of faded mint red are visible on both sides and this cent has very nice eye appeal. Just a few small defects including a thin planchet flake in the field below the left side of star 7 (as struck) and a dull rim nick at the N in UNITED. M-LDS, die state b. The fine die line from the base of the F in OF is gone and the fields are lightly flowlined. CC#7 for the variety in the Grellman census. Removed from a PCGS holder graded MS65BN (PCGS label #1922.65/24398869 included).
