LOT 167 1794 C-8 R-5 VG10+ . Choice glossy medium brown and light chocolate. Smooth surfaces, just a few trivial contact marks from choice. A tiny nick in the middle of the neck and a faint diagonal hairline scratch in the field before the mouth are the notable marks, and they are barely visible. MDS, Manley state 2.0 early, with a fine die crack from the rim to the top of the second T in STATES. The reverse is struck slightly off center to K-5 leaving some weakness in the legends near the edge from K-4 to K-7 (as often seen on this tough die variety). Everything else is clear and complete. Broken out of a PCGS F12 holder with the Widok Collection provenance noted (#35060.12/37281450).

LOT 165 1794 C-6a R-5+ F15 . AU50 sharpness or better but covered with fine roughness. Has the look of a piece that was uncirculated when lost in an unfriendly environment for a time before being rescued. Uniform dark olive and steel. No verdigris, and the only marks are a tiny pinprick on the jaw and a nick on the left edge of the L in HALF. Manley state 1.0 with the clashmarks on the obverse and a minor bulge right of the date. Probably the sharpest known example of this rare die variety. 

LOT 168 1794 C-9 R-2 VF20 . Nice glossy chocolate brown with a bit of darker steel brown toning on the highpoints of the hair left of the ear. The only notable mark is a small rim dent at the first T in STATES. Otherwise this piece is choice. LDS, Manley State 3.0. Weight 107.1 grains.

LOT 169 1795 C-1 R-2 Lettered Edge VF20 . Attractive, uniform deep brown surfaces. Nice and smooth, free of notable marks with one tiny spot at K-9 on the obverse. Great eye appeal for the grade. Well struck. Broken out of an NGC VF30 holder (1581199-010)

LOT 166 1794 C-7 R-5 G6 . A couple of points sharper with microscopic granularity in the fields, strongest on the reverse. A small rim bruise at O in OF is the only mark. Light to medium brown with darker olive toning in protected areas, the highpoints rather glossy. The date is bold and legends all readable. Manley State 2.0.
