LOT 45 1834 N-4 R2 Large 8, Small Stars, Medium Letters, NGC graded MS65+ Brown, CAC Approved . Lustrous medium steel brown with lighter reddish tan faded down from mint color in the protected areas on both sides. The surfaces are satiny and the eye appeal of this cent is really nice. The best identifying mark is a tiny speck of darker toning on the rim at star 12. Sharply struck MDS, die state c, with shallow die rust evident at NITED STATE and a die crack at F-AM. Our grade is MS63. 2046438-020

LOT 46 1834 N-5 R5 Large 8 & Stars, Medium Letters, NGC

graded MS61 Brown . Very attractive glossy light steel brown with swipes of olive and light reddish brown toning on the right side of the reverse. Underlying satiny mint frost covers the fields and protected areas on both sides and this cent has great eye appeal. There is very light friction on the devices and the notable

marks are a thin nick from the right top of star 7 and a light hairline scratch over ONE. A small planchet flake over the upper left point of star 7 (as struck) is the best identifying mark. E-MDS. Both dies are worn and flowlined, as always seen on this variety because it is the product of previously used dies. The small triangular lump at the dentils right of star 8 is clear and relatively sharp. A fine but sharp double profile reaches from the forehead down to the chin. Called AU50 net EF45 and tied for CC#6 in the Noyes census, his photo #26817. Our grade is EF45+. LOT 47 1834 N-6 R3 Large 8, Stars, & Letters, PCGS UNC Details, Cleaning . Frosty medium steel brown and olive. The color looks original and the eye appeal of this cent is excellent. Perhaps a light brushing to remove natural oxidation spooked the graders on this one. Just a few trivial defects including a small planchet flake just left of the date, a line of microscopic ticks on the truncation over the 83, and a tiny curved planchet void over the right side of the O in ONE. None of these marks is significant, and only the flake left of the date is visible to the unaided eye. MDS, die state a, before the triangular lump at the dentils right of star 8. The portrait and wreath are very sharply struck and the fields are flowlined. Graded AU55 net EF45 and tied for CC#10 in the Noyes census, his photo #20121. Our grade is AU50. A nice example of this “Redbook” variety. 37045.92/30999093
