EARLY CENTS AUCTIONS

LOT 41 1833 N-6 R1 PCGS graded MS65 Brown . Very attractive lustrous bluish steel and light chocolate. The surfaces are satiny and virtually flawless, and this cent has great eye appeal. The only marks are a faint wisp of slightly darker toning between stars 12 & 13, darker steel toning in the dentils from star 8 to star 9, and a speck at the dentil tips left of the first S in STATES. LDS, die state c, with a small lump between the two parallel cracks through the bottom of N in UNITED. Our grade is MS63. 37033.65/25134956

LOT 42 1834 N-1 R1 Small 8, Large Stars, Medium Letters, PCGS graded MS64 Brown . Lustrous medium steel brown with delicate overtones of bluish steel in protected areas. The surfaces are satiny and the eye appeal of this cent is excellent. A speck of darker olive toning high on the neck, a few microscopic chips on the cheek, and a small rim nick under the wreath stem are the notable marks. MDS, die state c. Both dies are cracked, as always, and the fields are satiny from microscopic die flowlines. Crumbling shows around star 4, strongest between the right points, and the repunching inside the lower half of the C in AMERICA is clear. Called MS60 and tied for CC#4 in the Noyes census, his photo #36776. Our grade is MS60+. 37051.64/15115672
