LOT 31 1831 N-14 R4 Large Letters, PCGS graded MS63 Brown . Choice glossy chocolate brown with smooth, virtually flawless surfaces and great eye appeal. A thin diagonal nick on the neck and some microscopic chips on the cheek are the notable marks, and they are not visible to the unaided eye. Nicely struck E-MDS. The obverse is very slightly misaligned to K-1 while the reverse is centered on the planchet. Called AU55 choice and tied for CC#1 honors in the Noyes census, his photo #39624. Bland says AU55 and CC#2 in his census. Our grade is AU55+. (The holder is scuffed on both sides.). 36991.63/13092992

LOT 32 1832 N-1 R2 Medium Letters, PCGS graded MS64 Brown, CAC Approved . Choice lustrous bluish steel brown and light chocolate with 5% of the mint color remaining on the obverse, 20% on the reverse. Virtually perfect except for a small, shallow planchet flake in the field midway between star 1 and the chin, as struck, and a small spot of very light carbon right of the second S in STATES. E-MDS, die state b early. Fine radial die flowlines cover the fields on both sides and a die crack reaches from the second A in AMERICA through the stem tip and ribbon to the base of UNITED (as always). The two die scratches from the leaf point under the first A in AMERICA are clear. A beautiful cent with outstanding eye appeal. Called MS63 “Choice” and tied for CC#1 in the Noyes census, his photo #35669. Our grade is MS63. 37012.64/15115700
