LOT 471 1846 N-12 R-1 Tall Date MS62 . Glossy bluish steel brown with traces of mint red in the protected areas. The notable marks are a small, thin flaw in the planchet left of the one, as struck, a tiny tick over I in LIBERTY, and a trivial rim bruise right of star 13. Rare EDS, die state a. Great eye appeal for the grade. Tied for CC#7 in the Grellman census.

LOT 468 1844 N-7 R-2 AU50 . Frosty light brown with a tiny carbon spot under the chin. LDS, with a rim cud at star 1 and nearly reaching star 2. A nice example of one with this cud.

LOT 472 1846 N-19 R-3+ Small Date AU58 . Lustrous olive brown with underlying ruddy brown mellowed down from very faded mint red and subtle bluish steel tones. LOT 469 1846 N-4 R-1 AU50+ . Slightly sharper but there is a rim nick below the 1 in the date. Attractive, glossy light brown. Smooth surfaces. Removed from an old PCGS MS60BN holder (01865.60/6191224, tag included). MDS.

LOT 473 1846 N-20 R-3 XF40 . Chocolate and steel brown surfaces with subtle pin scratches on the cheek and right obverse field that blend in very well to the toning. Otherwise the only notable marks are a tiny nick on the nose bridge and one on the rim at star 3. Smooth surfaces.

LOT 470 1846 N-11 Medium Date XF40 . AU sharpness but recolored and now light steel brown with underlying faded red in the protected areas of the obverse, mostly golden brown on the reverse. There is a speck of carbon in the dentils on the bottom reverse, otherwise free of notable detractions. Smooth surfaces.
