LOT 419 1809 S-280 R2 EF40 . Slightly sharper with light friction on the devices, but there is a small dig close over the bust tip, and it does catch your eye. Otherwise essentially flawless with attractive glossy steel brown and chocolate toning. Flowline frost shows in the fields and protected areas. M-LDS, Breen state VI, with two die cracks down from the E in STATES and a couple small lumps in the leaves below.

LOT 420 1810 S-282 R2 VF25 . Ten points sharper but recolored glossy light olive brown with tan and reddish brown in protected areas, mostly on the reverse. A small spot of dark verdigris in the field before the center of the neck is the only notable mark. MDS, Breen state III, with light die cracks through some of the stars. The dentil between stars 2 & 3 and over the opposing ED in UNITED are weak due to a minor planchet clip. Might benefit from a better retoning.

LOT 422 1810 S-285 R2 VF35 . Slightly sharper with a few small contact marks in the field before the portrait and one more over star 11. Glossy mix of chocolate and lighter brown with some reddish chocolate on the lower part of the reverse. Mint frost shows in the protected areas. M-LDS, Breen state III, with strong die clashmarks right of ONE CENT.

LOT 421 1810 S-284 R3 VF35+ . Sharpness AU50 but there are several fine scratches on the obverse and a spot of fine verdigris on the reverse. Frosty medium steel brown with mint frost covering the fields and protected areas. Sharply detailed with just a light touch of friction on the highest points of the devices. There is a scratch through the top of the head, a few more on the cheek, another over star 9, and a small dig off the end of the bust. A small spot of verdigris and pits at the left top of the R in AMERICA is the only notable defect on an otherwise choice reverse. Sharply detailed EDS, Breen state I late, with fine radial die flowlines on both sides and extremely faint die clashmarks on the reverse.

LOT 423 1811/10 S-286 R3 Overdate 11 over 10 F12 . A few points sharper with traces of fine roughness under rather glossy dark olive brown toning. The highpoints are a lighter shade of chocolate. There is a small spot of raised corrosion in the field near the end of the nose and a scratch from the top of star 6 to the nose. E-MDS. The overdate is clear. Looks better than it might sound.
