LOT 312 1797 S-138 R-1 F15 . XF40 sharpness but lightly corroded with scattered spots of microporosity. A minor rim bruise under the left ribbon tail is the only notable mark. Semi-glossy dark steel and olive green surfaces. EDS, Breen state II.

LOT 315 1797 S-143 R5 Stemless Wreath F12 . Sharpness VF25 but the fields and protected areas are covered with very fine roughness under rather glossy dark olive brown toning. No verdigris or marks. MDS. Graded VF25 net F12 and tied for CC#15 in the Bland census. Noyes says VF25 net F12 and tied for CC#11, his photo #27511. Comes with a nice provenance.

LOT 313 1797 S-139 R1 F15 . Glossy medium chocolate and olive brown. Smooth with very nice eye appeal, just a couple minor marks from choice including a light rim bruises at the first S in STATES and the second A in AMERICA. LDS, Breen state V, with significant die cracks and swelling left of the lower curls. Graded F12 by Noyes, his photo #59110.

LOT 316 1797 NC-3 R-6- G6 . Slightly sharper with extremely fine roughness under a rather glossy dark olive patina. The highpoints are a slightly lighter shade of steel and chocolate brown. No verdigris and only a few trivial marks including a vertical nick from the O in OF down into the leaf below that blends in well to the natural patina. The date and legends are strong except for weakness inside the wreath. It appears the center of the reverse failed to strike up die to debris on the die while everything else was fully struck. EDS, Breen state I, before the reverse die cracked. Broken out of an ANACS G6 holder (2492000).

LOT 314 1797 S-140 R1 F12+ . Glossy olive brown with lighter olive brown and steel on the devices. Smooth with nice eye appeal for the grade and just a few trivial marks including a light rim bruise at the second T in STATES. VLDS, Breen state IV, with significant swelling on both sides, strongest on the obverse where the 97 and bust are nearly obliterated. A nice lower grade example of this interesting die state.
