LOT 270 1794 S-32 R-2 F15+ . Ten points sharper (more where properly struck, less in the weakly struck areas) but there are a few light contact marks and stains. The notable marks are a light scratch in the field before the chin and another lighter one below ON. Mostly glossy light olive and steel brown with subtle puffs of reddish brown on both sides. Traces of microscopic roughness can be found in protected areas, mostly on the reverse. M-LDS, Breen state IV, with a strong radial crack through the first S in STATES and die clashmarks on the reverse. Unevenly struck with weakness along the right edge of the obverse and lower part of the reverse; the reverse is rotated 45 degrees CCW from the normal head-to-foot die orientation. Graded VF30 net VF20 and tied for CC#18 in the Noyes census, his photo #25829.
LOT 267 1794 S-26 R-2 VF25 . Glossy steel brown and chocolate with reddish tan in protected areas. Sharply struck with smooth surfaces and nice eye appeal, but there are some small nicks scattered over both sides. A dull nick across the upper part of the L in LIBERTY is a good identifying mark. MDS, Breen state IV, with a radial die crack through the E in STATES and dull die clashmarks. Graded VF25 and tied for CC#25 in the Noyes census, his photo #38667.

LOT 268 1794 S-28 R-2 VG10 . Glossy two-tone reddish brown and chocolate with lighter brown covering the devices. Several points sharper but there are a few marks including a nick on the rim left of the middle curls, a small dig on the N in CENT, and another inside the left ribbon loop. Nicely struck E-MDS. Attractive for the grade in spite of the marks.
LOT 271 1794 S-34 R-5+ PCGS F Detail (Corrosion Removed) . F15 sharpness but moderately corroded with granular surfaces. There are also dull scratches on the neck and face, as well through CENT. Medium olive brown. Full date and legends, EDS, die state a. Our grade is VG8. 35567.97/44293933

LOT 269 1794 S-31 R-1 VF30 . Glossy light to medium brown with slightly darker steel brown on the highpoints and a puff of slightly darker brown toning in the field before the face. No roughness or notable contact marks, but there is a speck of verdigris over the right end of the wreath stem. MDS.
