EARLY CENTS AUCTIONS
LOT 244 1850 C-1 R-2 MS60 . Attractive brilliant mint red with iridescent red and steel toning on the obverse, deeper chocolate and bluish steel on the reverse with underlying faded mint red. There are wispy hairline scratches along the right obverse rim, and a few in the fields visible under a glass. Lustrous, somewhat reflective surfaces. Manley state 1.0. Removed from an old NGC MS63RB holder (181132-011, label included).

LOT 245 1851 C-1 R-1 MS62+ . Frosty bluish steel brown with 25% of the mint red remaining on the obverse, 50% on the reverse. There is a tiny speck of carbon in the field under star 7 and a small spot of darker bluish steel toning at the dentils right of the date. MDS. An attractive example, close to choice. Manley State 1.0.

LOT 246 1853 C-1 R-1 MS60 . Mostly deep steel with underlying lustrous original mint red remains underneath in some fields and protected areas, especially on the reverse. Somewhat matte appearance on the obverse. Free of notable marks otherwise. Manley state 1.0. Removed from an ANACS MS63RB holder (2566952 label included).
LOT 247 1854 C-1 R-1 MS60 . Steel and faded mint red. There are a few trivial marks on Liberty’s cheek. Lustrous surfaces. Manley state 2.0.
