1830 N-2 R2 Large Letters, NGC graded AU53 . Glossy chocolate brown with underlying frost in protected areas. Sharply struck with trivial marks including a small nick low on the neck and a very light rim bruise at star 12. EDS, die state a, before the additional redial die crack from star 13 to the dentils. 1830 N-3 R3 Large Letters, NGC graded MS64 Brown, CAC Approved . Lustrous olive brown and chocolate with lighter olive on the reverse. Generous traces of mellowed mint red show on both sides, especially on the obverse. Just a few minor marks including a small planchet chip on the jawline (as struck) and a few trivial marks on the neck. The small chip does catch your eye; otherwise this cent is choice. MDS with fine radial die flowlines on the obverse and clashmarks on both sides in addition to the usual die cracks. Struck with the reverse rotated 15-20 degrees CCW relative to the normal head-to-foot die orientation. Our grade is MS60+. 2046425-044 Ex Eric P. Newman (Eric P.
