LOT 240 1835 C-1 R-1 MS63 . Choice lustrous bluish steel brown with half the mint state remaining on the obverse, 5% on the reverse. The notable marks are a trio of microscopic specks of carbon over the 5 in the date, a small spot of darker brown toning (not carbon) left of star 12, and a tiny planchet chip on the rim at D-S. MDS, Manley State 1.0

LOT 241 1835 C-2 R-2 MS62 . Attractive glossy deep olive and chocolate brown on the obverse, the reverse is light brown and light steel. There is also a ruddy brown on the lower neck, and the only marks are a couple trivial ticks on the nose and chin visible under a glass. Otherwise smooth, lustrous surfaces. LDS, Manley state 3.0, with strong clash marks along the profile and left wreath, and a arcing die break from the dentils after UNITED through the wreath, HA, and up through O in OF.

LOT 242 1837 HT-73 Half Cent Worth of Pure Copper VF25 . Pleasing light brown obverse, olive brown with swipes of deeper steel on the reverse. There are a couple maroon spots of shallow scale over the talon holding the arrows and above the eagle’s head, and a few more inside the wreath, as well as old hairline scratches on the date. Mint Error, struck out of register with an arc impressed on both sides flattening out the strike along the peripheries and leaving behind weaker details.

LOT 243 1849 C-1 R-2 AU55 . Rather glossy light brown surfaces. There are trivial marks and abrasions, nothing noteworthy or distracting, and dark crud buildup in some protected areas. Smooth surfaces with mint frost. Manley state 1.0.
