INDIANAPOLIS EAC 2024 TERMINAL 1811 C-1

LOT 145 1811 C-1 R4 NGC VF Details, Damaged. Slightly glossy dark steel brown and olive with lighter chocolate on the devices. Looks smooth but a glass reveals extremely faint roughness in the fields and protected areas. No verdigris but there are some marks. A collection of ticks at the throat, another high on the cheek, and some intentional scratches that nearly erased the T in CENT are the notable marks. LDS, Manley state 5.0, with a large cud break connecting stars 1-4 to the rim. The date is bold and the legends are clear except for weakness at TED-S due to the opposing cud that consumed too much of the available planchet. Our grade is F15 sharpness net VG8. The attribution is noted on the NGC label. 6703127-006

 A SECOND TERMINAL 1811 C-1

LOT 146 1811 C-1 R4 VG7. Several points sharper but there are a half dozen old scratches hidden in the toning on the obverse. The planchet is covered with very fine roughness on all but the highpoints. No verdigris and the eye appeal is decent. Olive brown and steel with some gloss on the smoother highpoints. Terminal die state, Manley 5.0, with a large cud break at stars 1-4. The date is strong.

LOT 147 1811 C-2 R3 VG8+. Slightly glossy olive brown with lighter steel brown toning on the devices. The two-tone contrast accents the details and adds to the eye appeal. The only notable defect is a shallow scuff on the top of NT in CENT, but this is well hidden under the toning. MDS, Manley state 2.0, with light die clashmarks on the obverse.
