LOT 79 1787 Connecticut Miller 38-GG Draped Bust Left, AUCIORI Error, R4 ANACS graded F12. Slightly glossy chocolate brown and steel with some lighter brown on the reverse. Mostly smooth but there is minor roughness on the reverse. There is a small dig below the C in AUCIORI and a pair of shallow planchet voids on the reverse. The date and legends are complete and clear. Our grade is F12 net VG10. The attribution and AUCIORI error are noted on the ANACS label. 7160388

LOT 82 1788 Connecticut Miller 16.2-O R5 Draped Bust Left, PCGS graded VF25. Frosty tan with darker steel brown toning on the highpoints. No marks, roughness, or planchet flaws, just light wear on the devices. Late die state with swelling that nearly obliterates the T in ET and more swelling right of the date that takes out most of the second 8. The obverse is misaligned to K-4 but the reverse is nicely centered on the planchet. 415.25/36736567

Ex San Diego Coin & Bullion

LOT 80 1788 Connecticut Miller 4.1-K R5 Mailed Bust Right VF30. Rather glossy olive brown and steel. No defects, just trivial planchet chips and a tiny planchet clip at the end of the bust (as struck). The planchet was too small for the dies (typical for the variety), so some of the legends are off the planchet. Struck a bit off center to the bottom leaving all of the date on the planchet. Later die state with obvious die clashmarks on both sides. Weight 116.5 grains.

LOT 83 1787 Massachusetts Half Cent Ryder 4-C R1 F15. Glossy medium brown and chocolate. Smooth and free of marks, just worn. A very nice mid-grade example. Weight 69.1 grains

LOT 81 1788 Connecticut Miller 16.1-D R3 Draped Bust Left, PCGS graded XF40. Mostly glossy medium brown with splashes of darker olive brown crud on the reverse. Looks smooth but a glass reveals microscopic roughness in the fields and protected areas. Nonetheless an attractive piece with a bold date. Later die state but not the latest with a small cud break at the feet of the seated figure. 687237.40/40477714
