INDIANAPOLIS EAC 2024

LOT 419 1820/19 N-3 Overdate Small 20 over 19 EF40. Very attractive glossy medium brown and light chocolate with frosty lighter steel brown in protected areas. No notable marks, just light friction on the highpoints. The best identifying feature is an arc of slightly darker olive brown toning through OF AMER. Nicely struck EDS, Grellman state a, with smooth fields. The overdate is clearly visible on both digits.

LOT 420 1820 N-5 R3 Small Date VF35+. Very attractive frosty light olive and medium brown delicately mottled with some slightly lighter brown on the obverse. Smooth with light wear on the devices and minimal marks. A barely visible rim bruise at star 11 is the only notable mark. A beautiful cent, close to EF40. E-MDS, Grellman state b, with segments of the inner circle visible from star 13 clockwise to star 7.

LOT 422 1823/2 N-1 R2 Overdate 3 over 2 VF20+. Sharpness EF40 but microscopic porosity shows on the highest points on the obverse and covers much of the reverse. The eye appeal of this cent is excellent and the toning is frosty medium chocolate brown. M-LDS, Grellman state d, with minor crumbling in the dentils on the obverse. The overdate feature is sharp.

LOT 421 1821 N-1 R1 PCGS graded VF20. Glossy light to medium chocolate with lighter brown on the highpoints. The surfaces are smooth and the only notable marks are four tiny ticks at and above the C in CENT. E-MDS, Grellman state b, with crumbling in the dentils from star 6.5 to star 7. Our grade is F15. 1621.20/34944477

LOT 423 1823 N-2 R2 F12. Sharpness near VF25 but there are four obvious digs inside the wreath and a well-hidden dent on the leaf left of the C in CENT. The obverse is nearly choice with just a couple trivial ticks. Glossy mix of medium brown delicately mottled with light chocolate and tan. M-LDS, Grellman state e, with a cud break that reaches inside the dentils from star 5 to left of star 6 (but does not touch star 6). A beautiful cent if not for those marks on the reverse.
