LOT 388 1805 S-268 R3 VF20. Sharpness VF35 but covered with very tiny nicks, mostly on the obverse. None of these marks is significant, but there are far too many for the sharpness grade. No corrosion or verdigris Frosty medium chocolate and steel with hints of lighter brown in protected areas. LDS, Breen state III. Noyes graded VF35 net VF20 tied for CC#13, photo #38387. LOT 388a 1806 S-269 PCGS graded AU55. Chocolate brown with lustrous surfaces. Only trivial handling marks. Sharply struck. The pointed one type. Significantly scarcer as a Redbook variety. Our grade AU55 net AU50+ . 36433.55/80492163

LOT 389 1806 S-270 R1 PCGS graded XF40. Glossy light to medium chocolate brown with slightly lighter reddish brown in the fields. The surfaces are smooth and void of spots, stains, or corrosion. The only notable marks are a very faint scuff of hairlines across the lower part of the portrait (all lost in the toning) and a barely visible rim bruise over IT in UNITED. MDS, Breen state III, with a short die crack from the dentils opposite the neck. Our grade is VF30. The attribution and Heard provenance are noted on the PCGS label. 36436.40/12597337
