EARLY CENTS AUCTIONS
Lot 93 1794 S-49 R-2 ANACS EF40. Attractive glossy medium brown and light chocolate. There are a couple small planchet voids on the reverse including one at IT in UNITED and a couple more at AM in AMERICA, as struck. Otherwise the surfaces are smooth and show only minor contact marks. The notable marks are a light rim bruise over the T in UNITED and a small scuff that breaks the toning at the upper left of the C in CENT. Nicely struck EDS, Breen state I, with an uncracked obverse. Lot 92 1794 S-49 R-2 PCGS XF40. Glossy steel brown with underlying lighter medium brown. Mostly trivial marks, a tick on the cheek, a rim bruise over M, and a flake on the edge over E in STATES the most notable. Smooth surfaces. Breen Die State II with the die crack form the rough through E to the hair. 901374.40/82472652 $ 4,950

Pleasing dark brown with lighter on the devices with hints of tan on the highest points. The only mark of note is a dull nick below T in CENT. Otherwise smooth, hard surfaces with nice eye appeal.
