Lot 72 1794 S-41 R-3 NGC VF20. Chocolate brown. Trivial circulation marks consistent with the grade. Breen Die State V Strong die break through D in UNITED to the tops of CE and another die crack between AT in STATES reaches the wreath. 6057065-012 $ 2,200

Lot 73 1794 S-42 R-4 PCGS VF35. Medium brown with deeper maroon and steel spots at BER in LIBERTY, the pole, and ME in AMERICA. There is also some fine, microgranular scale in those areas, though not enough to prevent the straight grade by PCGS. The only notable marks are a minor rim bruise at UN in UNITED, and a pin prick dig under the chin. Otherwise smooth surfaces. The usual weakness from misaligned dies is present on the upper reverse.
