EARLY CENTS AUCTIONS
LOT 627 1808/7 C-2 R3 Overdate 8 over 7 VG8. A few points sharper with small nicks on the portrait and a line of tiny pinpricks at the dentils over F-OF. Otherwise smooth and attractive with glossy light olive brown toning. EDS, Manley state 1.0, with a fine crack through the top of ERTY. The overdate is obvious.
LOT 632 1809 C-6 R1 VF30. Slightly sharper with a few dull, light scratches in the field before the portrait. Frosty steel brown and chocolate. MDS, Manley state 2.0, with the reverse rotated 60 degrees CCW.

LOT 633 1811 C-2 R3 G5. Slightly sharper with fine roughness under rather glossy chocolate brown toning. There is a dull rim nick at star 6 and an incipient planchet clip just right of the date that left a thin void in the dentils. The date is strong.
LOT 628 1808/7 C-2 R3 Overdate 8 over 7 Fair-2. Glossy chocolate brown and steel. Badly dented on the right half of the obverse and scratched on the obverse. The date is clear. LDS with a strong cud break at TY.
LOT 629 1809 C-2 R3 F12. Slightly sharper with a few contact marks including a scratch right of stars 3-5, a pair of tiny pin pricks on the jaw, a dull rim nick at star 7, and some marks on the rim at UN. Glossy olive brown and steel with hints of reddish brown in some protected areas. Sharply struck EDS, Manley state 1.0.
LOT 634 1825 C-1 R3 VF20. Ten points sharper but covered with myriad fine hairlines on both sides. Mostly glossy medium brown with olive brown in protected areas. LDS, Manley state 3.0, with the reverse rotated 140 degrees ccw.

LOT 635 1826 C-1 R1 EF40. Glossy steel and chocolate brown. Smooth with no notable defects, just lightly worn on the devices. M-LDS, Manley state 4.0. The fields are slightly reflective in protected areas thanks to a fresh die polishing.
LOT 630 1809 C-3 R1 F12. Slightly sharper with microscopic roughness under glossy medium chocolate brown toning. Has decent eye appeal; the reverse is choice for the grade. E-MDS.

LOT 631 1809 C-6 R1 VF30. Five points sharper with a few faint hairline scratches in the field before the portrait. Glossy light olive and medium chocolate brown. E-MDS with the reverse rotated 45 degrees clockwise.
LOT 636 1826 C-1 R1 VF20. Ten points sharper but recolored chocolate brown and steel. There are a couple minor planchet flakes at the bust and a few tiny scratches high above the AL in HALF. LDS, Manley state 5.0.
